Graylynn from Wyoming
Age: 11Profile:

Ten-year-old Graylynn has had type 1 for six years now. She doesn’t like feeling different from other kids, and wishes she could just go eat when she’s hungry like everyone else. She’s still active, though, and enjoys volleyball, skiing, and tae-kwon-do, in which she has a red belt. She would like to start to explore the world, and become a better skier. One of her biggest accomplishments is that she has mastered the use of her insulin pump. As a delegate, Graylynn would like to learn more about diabetes and become more involved in research, and to help newly diagnosed people with type 1 diabetes. “A cure for diabetes is very important to me and every kid like me because I am so sick and tired of poking myself every day of my life.”
