Dylan from Vermont
Profile:

Dylan, 9, is in the third grade and likes to swim, roller skate, ride his bike, and spend time with his friends. He also likes reading, playing with his dog, and building things. "I like working with people," he says, an attribute that has helped him become an active advocate for the cure and motivated his interest in becoming an elementary school principal one day. Dylan has had diabetes for three years now. He cried and screamed for the first few weeks ("and my parents cried quite a lot too"), but the pump made a big difference in his life, since his parents no longer have to accompany him on play dates or birthday parties. The family has participated in three Walks, including the first-ever at Dylan's school.
